Mia Robertson, Associate Editor

Mia Robertson joined Simon & Schuster in 2024 as Associate Editor after three years at Gallery Books. She's looking for upmarket and book club fiction: smart, beautifully written novels that marry emotional heft with commercial appeal. She gravitates toward witty but warm voices, layered relationship dynamics, family stories, and narratives that illuminate the complexities of love, friendship, ambition, identity, and belonging, whether that be in intimate contemporary settings or sweeping immersive sagas. In nonfiction, Mia is seeking books in politics, history, science, memoir, and pop culture that illuminate the world through investigative rigor or a fresh perspective.

Before her publishing career, Mia was a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill, first in the United States Senate and then the US House of Representatives. She has a master’s degree in International Studies from Indiana University Bloomington and is from Jeffersonville, Indiana.
