Emily Simonson, Associate Editor

Emily Simonson joined Simon & Schuster in 2017 after an internship at Image, a quarterly journal curating pieces at strike at the intersection of art, faith, and mystery. She enjoys a wide range of books, but is interested in acquiring works of journalism, narrative nonfiction, biography, and essays from a variety of voices. Topics she’s drawn to include books that touch on the natural world, the environment, social issues, psychology, spirituality, and the sciences. Her forthcoming titles include Fathoms by Rebecca Giggs, a meditation on our current environmental crisis through the prism of whales, and an untitled work of narrative nonfiction about the growing number of environmentalists murdered worldwide every year. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University and the Denver Publishing Institute, she originates from Tacoma, Washington.
