Carina Guiterman, Editor

Carina Guiterman is an Editor at Simon & Schuster. Before joining S&S, Carina was an Editor at Little, Brown, where she started in 2013. Some of the books Carina acquired and edited include JELL-O GIRLS by Allie Rowbottom, THE FUTURES (and the forthcoming NECESSARY PEOPLE) by Anna Pitoniak, THE PARTY by Elizabeth Day, GATHER THE DAUGHTERS by Jennie Melamed, TALENT by Juliet Lapidos and FEAST DAYS by Ian MacKenzie.  Originally from Washington, D.C., Carina graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Political Science.

At Simon & Schuster, Carina will continue to acquire literary and upmarket fiction, as well as select narrative non-fiction, including memoirs and essay collections. Her taste in fiction spans many genres: domestic and psychological suspense, coming of age, family sagas, adventure stories, and more. She is always drawn to books that challenge the expected tropes of a genre and that combine captivating, smart prose with strong narrative momentum to pull the reader in and illuminate the contradictions and complexities hidden inside all of us.
