Pamela Cannon
Vice President and Executive Editor
Pamela Cannon joined Gallery Books as Vice President and Executive Editor in September 2022. Prior to this, she spent more than two decades at Penguin Random House, starting in the Random House publicity department, and later moving to editorial. Most recently, she was Executive Editor at Ballantine Books, where she acquired, edited, and published titles from a range of New York Times bestselling authors, including Mel Brooks, André Leon Talley, Gabrielle Hamilton, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Leah Remini, Rachael Ray, and Alton Brown, among others. She is looking for compelling books that start conversations, offer a strong point of view, and inspire and influence readers. This includes nonfiction that is platform, story, or voice-driven, and offers readers entrée into discoverable worlds and experiences. Pamela is interested in acquiring smart and accessible commercial nonfiction in the following categories: voice-driven narrative, memoir, celebrity, investigative, prescriptive, humor, entertainment, pop culture, cooking, and lifestyle.

Pamela’s recently acquired titles and books she is editing at Gallery Books include: Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field by Deion Sanders, Food for Thought: Essays and Ruminations by Alton Brown, JFK, Jr.: An Intimate Oral History, The Sound of Purpose: A Memoir by Nia Long, That's Showbiz, Kid: My Unexpected Life as a Middle-Aged Man by Murray Hill, A Very Peculiar Skill Set: A Mortician’s Guide to Life and Death by Victor M. Sweeney, This Happened to Me: A Memoir by Kate Price, Say Everything by Ione Skye, and Underestimated: The Wisdom and Power of Teenage Girls by Chelsey Goodan.
