Charles M. Suitt is the founder and owner of 13A, which in 2021 entered into its publishing partnership with Gallery Books. A cultural strategist with a career spanning music, entertainment, media, and consumer brands, Suitt established 13A to amplify renowned and relevant Black voices in culture and politics. After attending St. John's University and The City University of New York, Charles began his career in the music industry, where he helped launch Universal Records. In 2008, he partnered with Simon & Schuster, publishing several New York Times bestselling titles as co-founder of Karen Hunter Publishing.
Through 13A, he has published New York Times bestselling titles including Straight Shooter: A Memoir of Second Chances by Stephen A. Smith, Eat Plants, B'tch: 91 Vegan Recipes That Will Blow Your Meat-Loving Mind by Aisha "Pinky" Cole, Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field by Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders, Armed with Good Intentions by Wallace "Wallo267" Peeples, and Misunderstood by Allen Iverson.
