Maria Manuela Mendez, Assistant Editor

Maria Manuela Mendez joined Simon & Schuster in 2019 after attending the NYU Summer Publishing Institute. She enjoys reading on a variety of topics and is specifically interested in works that discuss socio-political issues and center marginalized people. Maria graduated with honors from DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and recently completed a master's degree in Publishing at NYU. She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
