Irene Kheradi, Vice President, Associate Publisher

Irene Kheradi was named Vice President, Associate Publisher of Simon & Schuster in February 2021. As Associate Publisher, she collaborates with the imprint’s editorial, marketing, and publicity teams, as well as corporate functions including sales, demand planning and production to advance strategic initiatives and to develop and execute successful publishing plans for the imprint and its authors.

In her 30 years with the company, Irene has worked with many of Simon & Schuster’s best-known authors, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Bob Woodward, Mary Higgins Clark, Hoda Kotb, Walter Isaacson, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Shonda Rhimes, and Nelson DeMille. Her wide-ranging experience has made her intimately familiar with every aspect of publishing at Simon & Schuster.

Irene began her publishing career in 1989 as a production assistant at Simon & Schuster. After working her way up to lead the reprints department, she became a managing editor at HarperCollins, and returned to Simon & Schuster in 1998 as Executive Managing Editor for the Adult Publishing Group, with direct responsibility for the flagship imprint. In 2013, she was promoted to VP, Executive Managing Editor, Production and Copyediting, adding oversight of the manufacturing, production editorial, and prepress groups to her portfolio. She is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York and resides in Westchester, New York, with her two sons and their dog, Oliver.
