Emily Simonson, Editor


Emily Simonson joined Simon & Schuster in 2017 after an internship at Image, a quarterly journal curating pieces at strike at the intersection of art, faith, and mystery. She enjoys a wide range of books, but is interested in acquiring works of journalism, narrative nonfiction, biography, and essays from a variety of voices. Topics she’s drawn to include books that touch on the natural world, the environment, social issues, psychology, religion, and the sciences. Her titles include Fathoms by Rebecca Giggs, winner of the 2021 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction, and The Great Displacement by Jake Bittle. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University and the Denver Publishing Institute, she originates from Tacoma, Washington.
