Judith Curr, Publisher
As publisher and founder of Howard Books, Judith has ultimate responsibility for all the editorial, publishing, and marketing activities of the Howard imprint. Judith believes in creating books that are physically beautiful and that can help to shape the culture in positive, constructive ways. Judith is an industry leader in adopting new technologies and developing innovative marketing strategies. She currently teaches a course at New York University called “From Writer to Reader: An Introduction to Book Publishing” (spring semester). In just ten years, she has overseen Atria’s growth into a consistently successful and forward-thinking division within legendary publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster, Inc. A native of Australia, Judith has been an executive in American publishing since 1996.
Beth Adams, Executive Editor
Beth Adams acquires both fiction and non-fiction for the Christian and inspirational markets. Some of the bestsellers she’s worked on at Howard include Karen Kingsbury’s Love Story, Allison Pataki’s The Accidental Empress, and Life is Short, by Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein. Before joining Howard Books in 2012, she worked at Random House and Guideposts. She graduated from Princeton University and has a master’s degree in English from New York University. She is the author or co-author of more than twenty-five novels under various pen names, which she will reveal for the right price.
Becky Nesbitt, Editor-At-Large
A publishing veteran, Becky acquires and edits both fiction and non-fiction for the inspirational and Christian markets. Recent New York Times bestsellers she’s edited for Howard include all titles by Karen Kingsbury, most currently Love Story and Baxter Family Christmas; Rise of Isis by Jay Sekulow; EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey; What’s So Funny? by Emmy Award-winning comedian, Tim Conway, and Called to Coach by legendary Florida State coach, Bobby Bowden. Over the course of her 25-year career she has also worked with bestselling authors such as Frank Peretti, Tosca Lee, Paul Young, Darryl and Tracy Strawberry, Francine Rivers, Joel C. Rosenberg, Jerry Jenkins, Dinesh D’Souza, Dee Henderson, Randy Alcorn, Joe Gibbs and many others. Before joining Howard Books in 2009, Becky spent 16 years at Tyndale House Publishers in Chicago where she held various editorial positions. She works remotely from her office in Nashville, TN.
Kristen O’Neal, Editorial Assistant
Kristen O’Neal graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in English in 2015. She assists Beth Adams and Becky Nesbitt on faith-based fiction and nonfiction. She’s also a freelance writer, focusing on religion and culture.
